Myriam Fares was born May 3, 1983 in Kfar Shlel, a small village in Southern Lebanon. She is a Lebanese musician and entertainer. Fares started taking ballet lessons at age five, and at age nine earned first place on Tele-Liban (Al Mawahib Al Saghira) in Oriental dance. She registered at the National Conservatory of Music and studied musicology for four years. At age 16, she participated in the Lebanese Song Festival where she won first prize for the public Lebanese song nomination. In 2003, at age 21, Fares signed her first record deal with Music Master International, and launched her debut album, "Myriam", that same year. Myriam's second album Nadini was released in 2005. Her third album Bet'oul Eih was released in 2008, the first single is "Moukanoh Wein". The second single "Mouch Ananiya" became a big hit. The third and fourth singles, "Iyam El Chitti" and "Betrouh", were also successful. In 2008, she was picked to appear in adverts for Sunsilk shampoo and Freshlook contact lenses.
